![]() ![]() Dragon Ball had an impact on all anime that proceeded it, launching a wave of Shonene Anime series and changing the anime landscape forever. Dragon Ball revolves around Goku as a kid, and he is, well, pretty much just as clueless as he is as an adult, but cute and so naive living in this new world that no matter the fight or how high the stakes, kid Goku manages to make light of it through his extreme naivety. Today, Goku is still working his way to being the strongest being in the multiverse, but he had comedic begins in the original show that started it all Dragon Ball. It wouldn't be tough to argue that going super Sayian is a lot more fun to daydream about than taking off a pair of glasses and wearing tights. The story opens with two of the three main characters, the wizard Ryner and the knight Ferris, as they journey across the continent of Menoris in search of powerful Hero Relics to aid our third main character, the High King of Roland, Sion. He was not only strong and an inspirational figure with his undying urge to protect, but Goku was possibly a bit cooler than the all-American man of Steal. Every young boy wanted to be this being from another planet that was unparalleled in strength. In Dragon Ball Z, Goku becomes the new Superman for an entire generation. Movies such as this showed that anime had the ability to tell deep and powerful stories that did not only appeal to children. Also around this time came the prominent Studio Gibli, which produced films such as Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, and Grave for the Fireflies. The mantel was passed on in the late '90s early 2000s to shows such as One Piece and Naruto. Shows like Dragon Ball Z, YuYu Hakusho, and Sailor Moon spearheaded anime's growth in popularity. The '90s were when the popularity of anime on a global scale started to rise at an exponential rate, and it has been growing at the same exponential rate ever since. This is when many of the early mecha shows were becoming popularized. With a lack of global connectivity, anime did not have a broad global audience, but a handful reached the U.S. The first ever anime broadcasted was Three Tales, but the first big hit that catalyzed all anime we know today was Astro Boy in 1963, adapted from the Manga. Throughout the story, Ryner shows a lot of concern to Arua's growth mainly because they are both Alpha Stigma bearers.The dawn of modern anime was brought to life in the 1960s when Manga artist Osamu Tezuka took a Disney animation technique but with less funding and reduced frame counts, created something of his own, and set a precedent for the anime we know today. When Ryner and Ferris were blitzing Roland's camp, Arua assisted them and displayed his ingenuity by blending in Roland's magic with Nelpha magic to launch a surprise ranged magical attack. Later, after Ryner and Ferris escaped, together with Kuku and Iris, he joined up with Ryner's company. But for an Alpha Stigma bearer, this becomes an inborn ability, thus enabling Arua to start learning all spells immediately.Īfter saving Kuku, together with Kuku and Iris, he defected to Roland and lived in the Eris mansion. Ryner remarked that even the most talented magic user would require at least a year before he is able to see the particles of light that are used for magic. An 26 episode anime adaptation is being produced by Zexcs which premiered on July 1st, 2010 and is licensed. After being saved by Ryner and Ferris, he learned magic from Ryner and trained his physical body under the tutelage of Ferris, who said she did not want to leave all the training to Ryner in case Arua was "infected by his perversion" from coming into too close contact with him, all this to save Kuku from the Orla siblings, Sui and Kuu. Arua witnessed his parents' deaths in front of his own eyes, and almost went berserk until Ryner rescued him. ![]() His friend, Kuku, bumped into Ryner and Ferris and begged them to save Arua, which they gladly did. Runa, a religious empire, branded him as a monster because of his Alpha Stigma, and captured him for experimentation. With black hair and black eyes, Arua is an Alpha Stigma bearer from Runa Empire.
